Wendi has been a maker all her life. Her parents are creative people and they always made sure there were plenty of craft supplies around. Wendi made everything from pillows out of prepackaged latch hook kits, to bracelets out of scrap metal from her grandfather's auto repair shop. No idea was too crazy and no tools were off limits.

Wendi carries that maker spirit into her adult life. She has contributed a number of projects to craft books, is developing a line of patterns available from her etsy shop, and is currently building a house in the mountains of western North Carolina, just a stone's strow away from Penland School of Crafts. She loves living in a place where an electrician asks, as a matter of course, if she'll be needing special wiring for a kiln or anything like that.
